1.Architectural Technologist


About the Role


As an Architectural Technologist at Potentia Architecture, you will play a key role in transforming design concepts into fully coordinated, buildable solutions. You’ll work closely with architects, consultants, and project managers to produce detailed technical drawings, ensure compliance with codes and standards, and support projects from schematic design through construction.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and coordinate architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Review and integrate consultant drawings (structural, mechanical, electrical).
  • Support the design team with code and bylaw research for BC and Alberta jurisdictions.
  • Participate in coordination meetings and respond to contractor RFIs during construction.
  • Ensure quality control and drawing accuracy through internal review and BIM standards.
  • Assist with permit applications and submission packages to authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs).
